20041210 - Happy Holidaze!

@5:41:00 AM
Wow! I barely noticed that it'll be Christmas in about two weeks or so. HOLY Crap! That snuck up on us, huh? Although, admittedly, the wife and I have been listening to Christmas tunes since October. Hahaha, we LIKE Christmas!

Speaking of which. I have been reading about some very disturbing news lately. Groups of people are working to ban Christmas in schools and other public places. WTF?! They say it makes non-christian kids feel bad. What kind of retard are you?
I am buddhist. My family is buddhist. I celebrate and LOVE Christmas! My childhood was great because my family celebrated Christmas. We didn't go to church on Christmas eve or anything like that, since we're, you know... Buddhists. But, we ACKNOWLEDGED that yes, this is a holiday that celebrated the birth of Christ.

My adopted parents were genuises for celebrating Christmas. Why? Because, they didn't want us kids to feel bad and left out, and I thank them for it. When I have kids, they will be born buddhists, but have the choice to be whatever they want. We will celebrate Christmas and they will know why we are celebrating Christmas and what Christmas is all about.

I'm getting off my soapbox now. But please:

HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

And I leave you with a joke from the great Donald Luskin:

An elderly man in Phoenix calls his son in New York and says: "I hate to ruin your day, but I have to tell you that your mother and I are getting a divorce; 42 years of misery is enough."
"Pop, what are you talking about?" the son asks, flabbergasted.

"We can't stand the sight of each other any longer," the old man says. "We're sick and tired of each other, and I'm sick of talking about this, so you call your sister in Chicago and tell her." And he hangs up.

Frantic, the son calls his sister, who explodes on the phone: "Like HECK they're getting a divorce," she shouts. "I'll take care of this."

She calls Phoenix immediately and screams at her father: "You are NOT getting divorced! Don't do a single thing until I get there. I'm calling my brother back and we'll both be there tomorrow. Until then don't do a thing, DO YOU HEAR ME?" And she hangs up.

The old man hangs up his phone and turns to his wife. "They're coming for Christmas and paying their own way."
